Mala Making Workshop

  • Kadampa Meditation Center Maryland (map)

A mala is a string of beads used to count prayers or mantra recitations.  For Buddhist practitioners, a mala is a precious and meaningful sacred object.  In this workshop, we will help you to make your own full length mala.  You can choose your beads from Gyaltsen’s fabulous selection or bring some of your own.  Gyaltsen will also explain how you can increase the sacredness and power of your mala.

Kelsang Gyaltsen will be leading this workshop. He is a qualified Kadampa artist who will explain how to make malas and how to use them to count mantras.

Registration has now closed. We hope you can join us next time!

Cost: $30-- or $25 for early registration (by Nov 12th), students, seniors 60+, and unemployed. Free for benefactor level members.

There are still a few spots remaining, so feel free to sign up even after Nov 15th!
