Meditations for Modern Life, followed by Sunday Social

  • Kadampa Meditation Center Maryland (map)

There will be refreshments provided after class during our Sunday Social.

These classes include both meditations and teachings based on Buddha’s wisdom that can help us to stay peaceful, even in the most challenging times. Current series topic:

Six Ways to Build a Happy Life: Happy Acceptance

We sometimes feel that our daily life is somewhat meaningless, boring and exhausting.  We can overcome this problem by transforming all our daily activities and experiences into spiritual activities through developing special ways of thinking. Activities such as cooking, working, talking and relaxing are not intrinsically mundane; they are mundane only if done with a mundane mind. By doing exactly the same actions with a spiritual motivation, they become methods for building a happy life.  In this series, we will learn six ways to do this.

To Register for Class: Please register upon arrival. We request that you arrive 10 minutes early if possible.

Cost: $12/class ($8 students/seniors 62+/unemployed).

Your first class is always free: just let us know it’s your first class when you arrive.

You can also become a member starting at $50/month and receive discounts while you help to provide a steady level of support for our activities. These classes are included in your membership!
