Meditations for Modern Life

  • Kadampa Meditation Center Maryland (map)

These classes include both meditations and teachings based on Buddha’s wisdom that can help us to stay peaceful, even in the most challenging times. Current series topic:

The Lost Art of Contentment: From Concentration Comes Peace

In our search for happiness, we tend to spend a lot of time thinking about changing our job, partner, home, or activities hoping to find happiness somewhere in our daily Life.  Through Buddha’s timeless wisdom we can find real freedom from restlessness and dissatisfaction by seeking happiness where it can actually be found—within. We may not be able to change our external situation, but we can change our mind. Join us as we learn practical methods to experience more peace in our life through the joyful practice of contentment.
