Meditations for Modern Life, followed by Sunday Social

  • Kadampa Meditation Center Maryland (map)

There will be refreshments provided after class during our Sunday Social.

These classes include both meditations and teachings based on Buddha’s wisdom that can help us to stay peaceful, even in the most challenging times. Current series topic:

A Fearless Life: Inner Refuge, Inner Strength

We have so many fears.  We fear uncertainty, not getting what we want, losing the people we love, and  we even fear each other.  Buddha gives us the tools we need to transform our fears into fearlessness. When our mind is free from fear we can experience  authentic joy and happiness.  In this series we will learn how to look at our fears gently, with wisdom and without judgment.  As we understand where our fears actually come from, we are on the journey of letting them go. Being fearless produces happiness.

To Register: Please arrive 15 minutes early and register at the door.

Cost: $12/class ($8 students/seniors 62+/unemployed).

Your first class is always free.  Simply register at the door by letting the front desk volunteer know it is your first class.

You can also become a member starting at $50/month and receive discounts while you help to provide a steady level of support for our activities. These classes are included in your membership!
