Meditations for Modern Life

  • Kadampa Meditation Center Maryland (map)

These classes include both meditations and teachings based on Buddha’s wisdom that can help us to stay peaceful, even in the most challenging times. Current series topic:

Learning to Let Go: Letting Go of Painful Experiences

We can learn to stop holding on so tightly to everything -- ourselves, others, our bodies, our pains and pleasures, past and future, what's "really" going on, where we live, our jobs -- everything. This is profound letting go, profound relaxation.

By gaining experience of the truth, or "emptiness" of things, we gain an experience of freedom from anxiety, worry, fear and pain. We find a new level of inner peace and clarity. Gradually everything comes back into balance.

To Register: Please register upon arrival. We request that you arrive 10 minutes early if possible.

Cost: $12/class ($8 students/seniors 62+/unemployed).

Your first class is always free: just let us know it’s your first class when you arrive.

You can also become a member starting at $50/month and receive discounts while you help to provide a steady level of support for our activities. These classes are included in your membership!
